Warren Place

Warren Place is an apartment complex consisting of three buildings located at the northern end of campus on Warren Street, between King and St. Philip Streets. 1 Warren was constructed in 1948 (as Condon’s Department Store Annex), renovated in 1995, and consists of three floors. 10 Warren and 20 Warren were constructed in 1995 (on the site of the original Condon’s Department Store). 10 Warren is five floors and 20 Warren is four floors. Each building has a central laundry facility on the 1st floor and covered bicycle storage in an outside area shared by all buildings.

Warren Place is arranged with all apartments opening to inside corridors. Each apartment is fully furnished and consists of 2-5 bedrooms (4-10 students per apartment); 1-2 bathrooms; a full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, stove, and full-size refrigerator; as well as a living room with soft seating and one small end table. Each apartment has either a dining table and chairs or stools at the kitchen counter. Warren Place is air-conditioned, equipped with high-speed internet via Wi-Fi, and has controlled-access entry.

Room Amenities and Dimensions

  • Exact dimensions vary with each apartment. The most common dimensions are 14’ long x 10’-6” wide.
  • Twin extra-long bed (double rooms): semi-lofted.  Each bed has a wooden frame measuring 36” wide x 80" long with approximately 30” of vertical clearance underneath. Mattresses accept only twin extra-long sheets.
  • Full-size bed (single rooms): 75” long x 54” wide. Standard full-size sheets required.
  • Large closet with double hinged doors (non-locking): 78” wide x 24” deep x 96” high
  • Desk: 72” wide x 24” deep x 30” high
  • Desk chair
  • Chest of drawers: 30” wide x 24” deep x 30” high
  • One window: varying in dimensions according to apartment. Average window size is approximately 30” wide x 70” high. All windows are covered by 1" aluminum mini- blinds. We do not allow wall or frame fastened curtain rods, but students may drape fabric from the valence of the blinds.
