Resources for isolation and quarantine

The College has compiled some important information and resources about COVID-19, preparing for and entering isolation and quarantine, and ways to make virtual connections, which we're including below for reference. Please take some time now to review this information and refer back to it as needed.

Housing Schedule for Academic Year 2020-2021

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on South Carolina and the Lowcountry, the College of Charleston delayed the start of in-person classes until Monday, September 14.

  • Housing and dining fees were posted to student eBill accounts; adjustments to these fees appeared in the form of a credit.
  • Students were permitted to cancel their housing assignment, without penalty, until September 13, 2020. After that date, students are responsible for paying the full housing fee for their assigned space. Please see your Housing Contract for details.
  • The residence halls and historic houses will remain open for the fall semester until December 15 at noon. The Housing Contract is for the full academic year and students will receive information about move-in for the spring 2021 semester once those details are finalized.
  • The residence halls and historic houses will begin reopening January 7, 2021. Residential students were sent an email with instructions for signing up for a move-in timeslot.

We encourage you to visit the FAQ within the Residence Halls and Dining FAQ section of the College of Charleston’s Plan for Fall 2020: Back on the Bricks, which is being updated routinely. Additionally, you may view recordings of previous virtual Town Halls

We understand that you have many questions and want to assure you that Campus Housing is working to make this process as easy as possible. If you have immediate questions, please contact us at housing@cofc.edu or 843.953.2015.
