Orientation Housing

Campus Housing is thrilled to offer overnight experiences for our June and July 2022 summer orientation students. Students who choose to stay on campus during their orientation session will stay in in Liberty St. Residence Hall, conveniently located above one of our all-you-care-to-eat dining locations. Each suite has two bedrooms, with two students to a room, and a shared bathroom.

This experience is limited to 150 students each orientation session. (Note: Only students may stay in orientation housing; it is not for family members or other guests.)

You may register for orientation housing beginning April 15 at 9 a.m. once your orientation session has been confirmed by New Student Programs, which can take up to five business days. Orientation-housing registration for each session will close one week before the session start date.

To register:

  • Log into MyPortal or MyCharleston using your CofC credentials.
  • Click on the MyHousing/Dining portal button.
  • Click on the Orientation Housing button and follow instructions for registration.

You may sign up to stay one night or two. (The two-night option starts the night before your orientation session.)

Your orientation housing will include the following:

  • All-you-care-to-eat meals at Liberty St. Fresh Food Co.
    • One-night stay includes lunch and dinner for arrival/orientation Day 1, and breakfast and lunch on Day 2
    • Two-night stay includes dinner for arrival day; breakfast, lunch and dinner on orientation Day 1; and breakfast and lunch on Day 2

  • Wi-Fi
  • Optional discounted parking permit for on-campus garage
