Summer School Housing and Employment

Summer School Housing and How to Apply

The Summer 2022 housing application opens April 1, 2022. To live in summer housing, you must be enrolled as a CofC student either for a summer 2022 term or for fall 2022.

To begin the application, you must first pay the $200 housing prepayment and the $50 housing application fee in the MyHousing/Dining portal via MyCharleston. Prepayment waivers are not available for summer housing.

Summer housing will be located in Kelly House, May 15-August 10, 2022. Students may request a private or double bedroom, but a private cannot be guaranteed. Private bedrooms have full-size beds and doubles have twin-size beds. All rooms have shared bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms with other summer residents.

The cost for CofC students is $48 per night (private) or $42 per night (double). All nights are billed in a lump sum before the start of your stay. If you have any questions about payment plans, please contact the Treasurer’s Office.

Students who are not enrolled in classes during the summer must also pay a health fee of $40, which covers the entire summer. To do so, visit the Student Health Services Marketplace and search for the Summer Healthcare Fee. You may also pay at the Treasurer’s Office. You will need to provide a receipt to Campus Housing prior to receiving a key.
