Move-In Information
Move-In: August 19-20, 2022
You must make an appointment to move in. Please refer to your move-in email or the move-in webpage for further instructions.
Please note: Craig Hall does not have an elevator.
Key Pickup Location: Craig Residence Hall
You will need to provide a government-issued ID (like a driver’s license) to get your key, and to get your Cougar Card if you did not get one during orientation.Driving Directions
Since many streets are closed for move-in, we provide residence-hall specific driving directions to get you to the unloading zone for check-in. Please use these and not GPS to drive into campus for move-in.
To help Public Safety direct you to your unloading zone, print this sign for your residence hall and then place it in the front dash of your car as you approach campus.
Please note that access will be from St. Philip Street only (a one-way street). St. Philip Street between Calhoun and George Streets will be CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC during the move in period.
From I-26: Take exit 221B and turn RIGHT onto Meeting Street. Turn RIGHT onto George Street, then turn LEFT onto St. Philip Street. Craig Hall will be on your RIGHT.
From Highway 17 North: After you cross the Ashley River, bear RIGHT onto the ramp and follow Lockwood Drive South/ Visitor’s Center. Turn LEFT onto Calhoun Street, then RIGHT onto King Street, RIGHT onto George Street and LEFT onto St. Philip Street. Craig Hall will be on your RIGHT.
From Highway 17 South: After you cross the Cooper River, follow signs for Hwy 17 S, then bear RIGHT onto the Rutledge Avenue exit ramp (Sheppard Street). Turn LEFT onto Rutledge Avenue then LEFT onto Calhoun Street, then RIGHT onto King Street, RIGHT onto George Street and LEFT onto St. Philip Street. Craig Hall will be on your RIGHT.
After unloading, you will be directed to GG garage. Do not leave your car in the unloading zone.
