Move-In Information
Move-In: August 19-20, 2022
You must make an appointment to move in. Please refer to your move-in email or the move-in webpage for further instructions.
Key Pickup Location: College Lodge
You will need to provide a government-issued ID (like a driver’s license) to get your key, and to get your Cougar Card if you did not get one during orientation.Driving Directions
Since many streets are closed for move-in, we provide residence-hall specific driving directions to get you to the unloading zone for check-in. Please use these and not GPS to drive into campus for move-in.
To help Public Safety direct you to your unloading zone, print this sign for your residence hall and then place it in the front dash of your car as you approach campus.
Early Move-In (August 17 only)
From I-26: Take exit 221B and turn RIGHT onto Meeting Street. Turn RIGHT onto Calhoun Street, then turn LEFT, as directed, under College Lodge for unloading.
From Highway 17 North: After you cross the Ashley River, bear RIGHT onto the ramp and follow Lockwood Drive South/ Visitor’s Center. Turn LEFT onto Calhoun Street, then RIGHT as directed, under College Lodge for unloading.
From Highway 17 South: As you cross the Cooper River, follow signs for Meeting Street. Bear RIGHT onto the Meeting Street ramp, then turn LEFT onto Meeting Street. Turn RIGHT onto Calhoun Street, then turn LEFT, as directed, under College Lodge for unloading.
Regular Move-In (August 19, 20)
From I-26: Take exit 221B and turn RIGHT onto Meeting Street. Turn RIGHT onto Columbus Street, then LEFT onto King Street. Turn RIGHT onto Vanderhorst Street just before Saint Matthew's Lutheran Church. Turn LEFT onto St. Philip Street. As you approach Calhoun Street you will be directed through the intersection. Unloading will take place on the street next to the Cato Center.
From Highway 17 North: After you cross the Ashley River, bear LEFT, following signs for Cannon Street. At the fork, stay RIGHT and continue down Cannon Street. Turn RIGHT onto Rutledge Avenue, then turn LEFT onto Vanderhorst Street. Turn RIGHT onto St. Philip Street. As you approach Calhoun Street you will be directed through the intersection. Unloading will take place on the street next to the Cato Center.
From Highway 17 South: After you cross the Cooper River, follow signs for Hwy 17 South, then bear RIGHT onto the King Street exit ramp. Turn RIGHT on King Street, then turn RIGHT onto Vanderhorst Street just before Saint Matthew's Lutheran Church. Turn LEFT onto St. Philip Street. As you approach Calhoun Street you will be directed through the intersection. Unloading will take place on the street next to the Cato Center.
