Joe E. Berry Hall

Suite | Double, Triple or Quadruple Rooms | Kitchenette

Berry Residence Hall is conveniently located above one of our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls. It’s a six-story, co-ed building at the corner of Calhoun and St. Philip streets. Constructed in 1988 and renovated in 2003, Berry Hall features numerous community spaces, including a full-size kitchen and laundry rooms on each floor. Berry Hall is arranged with all suites opening to inside corridors. Each suite consists of two to three bedrooms, one to two bathrooms, and a living room with a kitchenette; suites are shared by four to seven students. Berry is air conditioned and equipped with high-speed internet via Wi-Fi and a 24-hour information/security desk. Free washers and dryers are available on floors 2-6. Please visit the Residence Halls page for housing rates.

Floors 1 through 3 are for Honors College students and are by invitation only. Read more about the Honors Living and Learning Community.

Berry Hall also houses City Bistro, one of two residential all-you-care-to-eat dining halls. With seven stations, this dining location offers an upscale rotating menu with items like delicious seafood, brick-oven baked pizzas and gourmet burgers. Located in the heart of City Bistro is a fresh salad bar stocked with an array of local produce, as well as a build-your-own deli sandwich station. And don't miss the Simple Selections station's allergen-friendly servings.

  • Wardrobe cabinet: 36” wide x 24” deep x 72” high. The bottom portion of the unit contains 2 drawers (36" wide x 24" deep). Wardrobe cabinets are equipped with a “hasp” that allows students to lock the wardrobes (but not drawers) with their own padlock.
  • Desk: 36” wide x 27” deep x 30” high. All desks have a retractable keyboard and mouse surface with rear storage.
  • Desk chair
